“It is unequivocally the best solution to the logistics problem of our time – productivity.”

"New ways of doing business will be needed, organisations redesigned and policies created."

Today from Logistics In War, we have two articles that form a discussion on logistics automation by David Beaumont.

Part one focuses on how autonomous logistics can be exploited by military forces.

Part two focuses on how autonomous systems in general will change how forces are generated and sustained. Together they form a picture of the opportunities and challenges automation present to military forces and partly how forces may look as we move deeper into the information age. David Beaumont covers a surprising amount of information in these two short articles and they are well worth the read if you have even a passing interest.
