LWP-G 3-9-6: Operations in Urban Environments

LWP-G 3-9-6 is the Australian Army's doctrine on Operations in Urban Environments.  It can be found at the following link.

The aim of this publication is to lay down the fundamentals, tactics, techniques and procedures for all soldiers conducting operations in urban environments. It also describes the effects that urban environments with civilian populations have on tactical actions by combined arms teams. The scope of this publication includes:

  • the Australian Army concept for operating in urban environments
  • a description of the urban environment(s)
  • all corps urban combat skills
  • advanced urban combat skills
