MOOC: Writing for the Web

By The Cove February 13, 2019

At the heart of the many online professional military education forums available is user-generated content. If you have enjoyed engaging with the articles on the Cove, why not write something and contribute?

If you are interested, but not sure if your writing is up to scratch, there are plenty of online resources available to help get you started. A particularly useful one commencing soon is Writing for the Web, a free Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) available through Open Universities.

This MOOC explores how writing style and structure can grab the attention of and engage online readers. Through videos and quizzes, you will learn techniques for producing effective writing for online platforms. For more information and registration, access the MOOC here.

If you are thinking of generating content for the Cove, another avenue for assistance is your local Regional Education Detachment, where the Education Officers will be more than happy to read a first draft and work with you to get your writing ready for publishing.
