TDE: Platoon Attack

By Tom McDermott August 22, 2016

In this Tactical Decision Exercise you are a Platoon Commander in 6 RAR. Your BG have been attacking north to DESTROY enemy forces on the Gatton Plain. In a bold move, D Coy were landed in an Air Mobile Operation on a plain near Gatton City.

But the enemy reinforced and D Coy are now fixed. Your Platoon has been tasked to conduct a rapid counter-attack in support of D Coy.

The terrain is scrubby brush land, with limited cover and no buildings due to the steep terrain. You are facing a Platoon-sized enemy, with armour reinforcement. It is 2030hrs, and you have a full moon. What do you do now?
