‘The Urgent Lessons of WWI’ via the Modern War Institute

By The Cove May 15, 2019

This excellent article by Brian E. Frydenborg via the Modern War Institute discusses some of the important lessons that could have been learnt during the ‘Great War’, that were sadly repeated during the Second World War only a couple of decades later.

One of these lessons was the fallacy that war on a large scale was unlikely due to the stability and prosperity of Europe at the time. While these catastrophic events occurred over a century ago, could we be falling into the same trap of being overly complacent?
