Commando Training Centre’s Royal Marines Command Wing delivers training for LCpl to WO1 (RSM) and for Young Officers to CO (Desig). The Wing’s purpose is to enhance RM capability by developing agile decision makers equipped with the right knowledge, skills and attitudes to successfully command, lead and manage in barracks and on commando operations acting at reach and against an overwhelming adversary.
Captain James Price is currently posted to 1st Joint Movements Unit as the Officer-In-Charge Workforce Cell. Previously posted to 9th Force Support Battalion, Captain Price has experience commanding full-time, part-time and reserve personnel. He is a student of finance and law, with a keen interest in the contribution of logistics and resource management to the conduct of war.
Captain Ian Richards is the Ground Liaison Officer for Strike at RAAF Base Williamtown. He graduated from Royal Military – Duntroon in 2019. His postings include, 12 Platoon Commander, Australian School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, C Troop Commander, 16 Regiment, Royal Regiment of Australian Artillery, and Air Battle Manager at No. 3 Control and Reporting Unit.
Brad Kilpatrick is currently the Deputy Commandant of ADFA. He has held a variety of Regimental postings within the 2nd Cavalry Regiment and B Sqn 3/4 Cavalry Regiment, instructional postings at the Royal Military College – Duntroon and as the Commanding Officer / Chief Instructor of the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA), and numerous Army and Joint staff positions.
Scott Winter AM is currently the Commander of the 3rd Brigade. His most recent appointment was as the CJ-5 Chief Future Operations at NATO HQ Resolute Support Mission, Afghanistan, where he was responsible for developing and advising Afghan operational planning. Immediately prior to this deployment he served as the Director Soldier Career Management – Army, where he was privileged to lead a great team focused on developing the soldiers and building the teams to win the next fight.
