Reflective Journal (App)

The Department of Defence (“The Cove”, "us", "we", or "our") publishes the Reflective Journal mobile application (the "Reflective Journal App").

This section informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Reflective Journal App and the choices you have associated with that data.

Information Collection and Use

We do not collect any personally identifiable information ("Personal Data") through our Reflective Journal App.

We do not collect or store the contents of your reflections, this data is only stored on your device.

However, the Reflective Journal App may collect certain non-personally identifiable information automatically, such as device information (e.g., device type, operating system version) and usage data (e.g., app interactions, session durations). This data is collected solely for analytical purposes to understand how users interact with our Reflective Journal App and to improve its performance and user experience.

The Reflective Journal App may user third party tools such as Google Firebase, and is published by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data collected through the Reflective Journal App with third parties.

Security

The security of your data is important to us. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the information collected through the App against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
