Corporal Ben Groth has been supervising injured trainees at the Trainee Rehabilitation Wing since 2016. Previously he was posted to the 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment from 2006. He became interested in dedicated injury management after his wife was injured in 2014 and attended Townsville Soldier Recovery Centre. He has found his time at TRW very rewarding, having seen many of the trainees successfully returned to their training establishments.
Lieutenant Ben Kanowski is an Army Reservist currently posted to 11 Combat Service Support Battalion in Brisbane. He is currently studying at the University of Queensland (UQ). In his spare time, he plays Rugby Union for the UQ Rugby Club and supports the Brisbane Lions AFL team.
Ben Taylor is currently posted within the 6th Brigade as a logistician and Junior Non-Commissioned Officer. Previously, he has completed Long Term Schooling with the Defence Force School of Languages and writes for the Australian Institute of International Affairs. His research interests include conflict studies, mobility and organisational culture.
Colin Leggett joined the Army in 1995 and is currently posted to the Directorate of Engineering - Army as the Warrant Officer RAE Accreditation. Colin Corps enlisted into the RAE as an electrician and has served as a tradesman, Construction Foreman, Works Supervisor and Works Manager on exercises and operations, both domestically and internationally.
CAPT Costello is a member of the Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. His postings have included the 1st Signal Regiment, the 1st Recruit Training Battalion, and Headquarters Joint Operations Command. CAPT Costello is currently studying a Master of Strategy and Security via the University of New South Wales and is interested in grand strategy, international relations, security policy, and hybrid-threats.
Lieutenant Colonel Sam Benveniste has served over 22 years in the Army Reserve, including 3 years as Commanding Officer of the 10th/27th Battalion, The Royal South Australia Regiment 2021 – 2023. He is currently posted to Australian War College as directing staff on the Australian Command & Staff College – Remote course.
