Ben graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Emergency Health (Paramedic) from Monash University in 2017. It was during this time that he received the Defence University Sponsorship Scheme (DUSS) to become a Nursing Officer in the Australian Army.
After the completion of his studies, Ben commenced his graduate nursing program within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane; and completed his second placement year within both the ICU, and the Emergency Department (ED).
Lieutenant Colonel Templeman joined the Australian Army in 1999 and undertook a degree from the Australian Defence Force Academy in Science. Lieutenant Colonel Templeman entered the Royal Military College – Duntroon in 2002 and graduated to the Royal Australian Corps of Military Police. Following this, he conducted regimental training in the 2nd Battalion, the Royal Australian Regiment and subsequently held multiple appointments in 1 MP Bn before assuming the role as its Commanding Officer in 2019.
CAPT Costello is a member of the Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. His postings have included the 1st Signal Regiment, the 1st Recruit Training Battalion, and Headquarters Joint Operations Command. CAPT Costello is currently studying a Master of Strategy and Security via the University of New South Wales and is interested in grand strategy, international relations, security policy, and hybrid-threats.
Ben Alward graduated from the Royal Military College Duntroon in 1999 and was allocated to the Australian Intelligence Corps. He has served in command and leadership appointments across Army, Special Operations and the Joint Force and in a range intelligence specialisations including Electronic Warfare, Human Intelligence and Signals Intelligence. He has deployed on numerous Operations both domestically and in the Middle East, has served the Minister for Defence and Army headquarters in Canberra, and has undertaken an instructor role in the UK.
