The Chief of Army Symposium 2026 (CAS 2026) will be the first symposium hosted by the 42nd Chief of Army, Lieutenant General Susan Coyle AM CSC DSM, and will be held alongside the Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition (LF 2026).
As the region's leading land defence event, LF 2026 brings together leaders and experts from defence, industry, government, academia, and technology to explore shared challenges, strengthen partnerships, and contribute to national and regional security.
The theme for CAS 2026 is Hardwired for Adaptation.
In an increasingly complex and contested world, the character of war continues to evolve at pace. CAS 2026 will explore what this means for Army and how it can remain ready to adapt, not only as a fighting force, but also as a profession and a national institution.
Through a series of keynote presentations and panel discussions, speakers will share perspectives, insights, and experiences that bring this theme to life across three focused sessions:
- Why Hardwired for Adaptation
- Myths or reality: the Character of Contemporary War
- How to Hardwire for Adaptation
This event is being held at the Riverside Theater of the Perth Convention Centre, and will be live-streamed right here on The Cove!
