Curious about how you rank among other Cove users? The new Leaderboards feature lets you see where you stand. The more XP you earn and Challenge Points you accumulate, the higher you climb on the leaderboards. Compete for the top spot and showcase your dedication and skills.

Cove 4.0 FAQs
How do I Sign Up to The Cove?
Click the 'Join The Cove' button in the login menu at the top of The Cove. Registration can be completed with any email address, although only current ADF members can be Verified (see below).
How do I Verify my Cove Profile?
In order to be eligible to win competitions and prizes, and participate in certain future features yet to be rolled out, Cove users can verify their profile. Verification indicates you are a current members of the ADF. To verify your profile, after registering, navigate to your Profile and click 'Defence Verification' link in the top right. You will be prompted to provide your DPN email address, which will receive an authorisation link to complete verification. As this requires access to your DPN email, it is recommend you log in to your Cove Profile via the DPN.
Can I log in through the Cove App?
Yes! From the home page in the app, scroll to the bottom and select the 'Login' option, and follow the prompts.
What is an Achievement?
Achievements are digital awards for completing tasks on The Cove. You can earn them by reading articles, posting comments, competing in challenges, and more. Unlocking achievements earns you XP.
What is XP?
XP, or Experience Points, is typically awarded with achievements. The more XP you have, the higher you will be on the Global Leaderboard and the higher the Level your Cove Profile will attain.
What is my “Level”?
Registered users will hold a level associated with the amount of XP they have. When they reach a new level, they’ll be awarded the corresponding achievement.
What is a Challenge?
Challenges are predefined activities that reward you with additional achievements and XP upon completion. By actively engaging in the challenge content and activities, you can earn 'CPs' or Challenge Points and track your progress on a dedicated leaderboard.
Are CPs different from XP?
Yes, Challenge Points (CPs) are specific to each challenge and are used to determine your position on the leaderboard within that particular challenge.
Do I get XP for completing challenges?
Yes, you will be awarded XP for completing a challenge.
Can I move up the leaderboard in a challenge once I’ve completed it?
Yes, as long as the challenge is open, and you continue to engage with the content, you can earn more CPs, for instance by continuing to comment.
What is a Goal?
You can set Goals via your Profile to help you stay motivated on your PME journey. Successfully completing a Goal earns you significantly more XP and an achievement.
Why are articles not being marked as read?
Articles are not marked as read just by visiting them. You must spend an appropriate amount of time reading the article and view most of it.
Do I need TFA?
Yes. All accounts require Two-Factor Authentication (TFA).
