Kevin Ashford-Rowe is a senior higher education leader and educator with extensive experience in learning and teaching, educational innovation, and assessment. He is Professor and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), where his work has focused particularly on authentic assessment, learning design, educational technology, and the changing relationship between higher education and professional practice.

Alongside his university career, Kevin serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Australian Army Reserve and has more than 30 years of Regular Army and Reserve service. His work with Army has increasingly brought together his military and educational experience, with a particular focus on contemporary approaches to professional military education, workplace learning, assessment, and capability development.
