Taylah Gentzen joined the Army as an Infantryman in 2016 and posted to 1RAR. In 2018 she went on to completed her subject one and CFL course, In 2019 she applied for elite sports status and was posted to SUR in Holsworthy, Sydney. Whilst at SUR Taylah was training and competing for her spot in the Australian amateur boxing team, leading up-to the Tokyo Olympic Games. Additionally she was conducting OJT’S as a PTI at the area gymnasium. In 2020 she transferred to RAAMC as a PTI and is currently a PTI at the school of infantry.
Taylah is a mum to a six month old baby and has a passion for combat sports. She has competed at an elite level for twelve years, having over sixty amateur fights and is currently training to qualify for the world titles in 2024. Additionally she is the number one professional lightweight in Australia. Taylah is studying a part time Bachelor of Psychological science, with a particular interest in the mental health and physical performance of female soldiers and athletes.
