Our Australian Soldier

Our Australian Soldier is a creative art competition developed to celebrate the Australian Army’s 125th Birthday.

The activity invites students and young people to create a portrait that reflects their own idea of what an Australian soldier represents, past, present, or future. This is a commemorative and educational activity that aligns with ANZAC Day , designed to support:

• Creative expression
• Reflection on service, identity, and community
• Participation in a national anniversary celebration

There are no correct or incorrect responses, and no requirement for historical or uniform accuracy.

Three lucky winners for each school stage will take home a mystery Army bag packed with exclusive Australian Army merchandise, with prizes tailored for every age group, there's something incredible up for grabs for everyone!

And the ultimate prize? The most outstanding entrant will be awarded the coveted Australian Army Soldier statue — a stunning tribute to the spirit and service of our nation's finest.
