Director, Stanley Kubrick. (88min)
Directed by Stanley Kubrick, Paths of Glory gives an insight into the heavy moral cost of war. Originally banned in the United States and parts of Europe, the film highlights the absence of empathy in war through the eyes of the main character Colonel Dax as he navigates sending men to their deaths and witnessing the inhumane treatment of captives. The film is a poignant reminder of the ethical challenge of war and the importance of small moments of shared humanity. This film and the book it is based on,on have been included on reading lists for members of the military for decades.
