The Battle of Broodseinde Ridge_Front cover

The Battle of Broodseinde Ridge (the Third Battle of Ypres), 4 October 1917, was a powerful display of how effective the British Army could be in taking and holding ground if its objectives were limited, weather was favourable and firepower overwhelming. Three Australian Divisions and the New Zealand Division fought side by side. The book provides a narrative of this battle within the broader campaign and analyses the plan and combat arms that executed this battle.
