Reconstruction Task Force 4 was deployed to Afghanistan in 2008 as part of Operation Slipper. The area of operation was the Uruzgan Province in Central Afghanistan and the mission was to help bring stability and security to the region. This book uses the experiences of officers and soldiers to illustrate principals that apply to counter insurgency operations.
