This book analyses the Australian defence of Wau against two Japanese infantry battalions, 1942-43. A single Australian company defended Wau for 36 hours, allowing enough time for other Australian troops to be rushed in to assist which turned the tide in the battle. It outlines how victory was achieved and how determined leadership can play a deciding role in battle.
