Colin Leggett joined the Army in 1995 and is currently posted to the Directorate of Engineering - Army as the Warrant Officer RAE Accreditation. Colin Corps enlisted into the RAE as an electrician and has served as a tradesman, Construction Foreman, Works Supervisor and Works Manager on exercises and operations, both domestically and internationally.

Chris Appleton is a former infantryman, senior executive in the Australian Public Service and Statutory Officer. He commanded an infantry battalion in the twilight of the Long Peace.

The authors of this articles composed the content during their time at the Australian Defence Force Academy under the guidance and ingenuity of their Officer Commanding, Major Newham.
