Brigadier Thompson has held a range of command and staff appointments across tactical, operational, and strategic posts, both within Australia and on operations. His experiences include Chief of Operations and Plans for the 159th Combat Aviation Brigade, Commanding Officer of the 1st Aviation Regiment, and Commander 16th Aviation Brigade. Brigadier Thompson has also served as the Director of the Joint Interagency Liaison Office and the Defence Attaché, Baghdad.

Lieutenant Colonel J. David Thompson is a U.S. Army officer. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Washington and Lee University School of Law and is a Ph.D. Candidate at King’s College in London.

Major Thomas Basan enlisted to the Australian Army in January 1980. As a soldier and non-commissioned officer, Major Basan served in the 2nd/4th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment and the Special Air Service Regiment. On commissioning, Major Basan commanded paratroopers in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (Parachute) at platoon, specialist platoon, and company. Major Basan is a graduate of the Australian Command and Staff College and the Army Technical Staff Officer Course. He has also gained a master’s degree in systems engineering.

Major (US) Russell B. Thomas is an Infantry Officer currently serving as the Senior Instructor of Specialist Wing at the School of Infantry.

Thomas Grawich is a junior officer in the 8th/9th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment. He attended the Australian Defence Force Academy in 2012 and graduated with a Bachelor of Business in 2014. He completed 2 years as a rifle platoon commander before posting to the mortar line officer in 2018.

LT Aaron Thomas is passionate about leadership and Army. His own leadership is based off three principles (trust, communication and allowance of failure). He has been awarded Masters degrees in project management and business.

Captain Joseph Thomas currently works in Regimental Operations at 16th Air Land Regiment. His previous positions include three years commanding a RBS 70 Troop and two years of working with the RAAF as a Ground Liaison Officer.

Captain Tilque is a Combat Engineer Officer.  His postings include regimental time at the 2nd and 3rd Combat Engineer Regiments; an instructional posting at the School of Military Engineering; and staff appointments at Land Doctrine and HQ Forces Command.  He is currently the S33 at 3 CER.
