J. David Thompson is a U.S. Army Civil Affairs Major. He has a Juris Doctorate from Washington Lee School of Law. He also holds a BS in Economics and MBA-Leadership from Liberty University. LT Aaron Thomas is passionate about leadership and Army. His own leadership is based off three principles (trust, communication and allowance of failure). He has been awarded Masters degrees in project management and business.

CPL Thompson joined the Army in 2013 as an Artilleryman. He progressed through the ranks to Bombardier and has deployed on Operation Queensland Assist in 2017 and Operation North Queensland Flood Assist in 2019. In 2020 he transferred to RAAMC as a PTI and is currently a PTI at ADFA.

Major Thomas BASAN enlisted in January 1980. As a soldier and NCO, MAJ BASAN served in 2/4 RAR and SASR. On commissioning, MAJ BASAN commanded paratroopers in 3 RAR at platoon, specialist platoon and company. MAJ BASAN is a graduate of ACSC and ATSOC and has a master’s in systems engineering. In later years, MAJ BASAN served in Future Land Warfare, AHQ; Land Development Branch and the Australian Defence Test and Evaluation Organisation, CDG; Brigade Major, 13 Brigade and Preparedness, AHQ. He is currently employed within Land Capability Development, AHQ.

Captain Joseph Thomas currently works in Regimental Operations at 16th Air Land Regiment. His previous positions include three years commanding a RBS 70 Troop and two years of working with the RAAF as a Ground Liaison Officer.
