Lieutenant Colonel Aaron P. Jackson PhD has served in the Australian Army Reserve since 2002. He has held a range of command, staff and instructional appointments, and is currently posted as Commanding Officer, 10th/27th Battalion, The Royal South Australia Regiment. His deployments include Iraq, the Greater Middle East Region, Timor-Leste, Australian border security, and domestic emergency response operations. In his civilian employment he is a career Public Servant, and he has held appointments in both Federal and State level departments.
Alexander Whittle joined the Australian Army in April 2013. After initial employment training, he was posted to 1st Military Police Battalion. A recent highlight of his career was his provision of Close Personal Protection to VIPs on Exercise HAMEL 16. In August 2017 he was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal.
About the Author: Andre Le Masle is an Armoured Corp Officer. He has served in 1 Armoured Regiment, 2/14 Light Horse Regiment, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, and instructed at Royal Military College-Duntroon. He is currently a staff officer in Training Systems Branch, Headquarters Forces Command.
Andrew Glover enlisted in the Australian Regular Army in 2002 and since initial officer training at the Royal military College Duntroon has been a Royal Australian Transport Officer. He has worked across a variety of logistics postings within the Special Operations Command and in the conventional Army, deploying with a number of times with both forces. He has completed the suite of Army Intelligence Officer courses having served as a S2 for a Combat Engineer Regiment, Armoured Cavalry Regiment and within a Combat Brigade Headquarters.
Leisa Hinschen is a Commander and Naval Police Coxswain Officer, currently serving as the ADF Military Police Liaison Officer at Headquarters Joint Operations Command. She holds a Bachelor of Organisational Leadership, Master of Security and Defence Management, and is currently studying a Master of Criminology at Macquarie University.
Ash Zimmerlie is an Infantry Officer serving as a Company Commander in the 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment. He has served in the Australian Army for 14 years, with half of those in Infantry Battalions. He has no formal qualifications in fitness, but willingly acts as a ‘guinea pig’ for those who do.
