A message from the Chief of Army

Anzac Day is a time to pause and reflect on the commitment and sacrifices you and other Australians have made in service to the nation.

Service, Courage, Respect, Integrity, and Excellence are the values of our Army that connect our past with the present and future.

From Gallipoli, where the legend began, right across the globe and through our region, to most recently supporting our communities here at home, through bushfire, pandemic and floods.

Thank you for your service to the nation and to your families and communities, whose love and support sustains all that we do.

You are making a difference. You are adding to the ANZAC legend.

This Anzac Day let us reflect on the meaning of Anzac, be eternally grateful for the service and the sacrifice being made in Australia’s name, and commit to upholding the legacy they left for us.

We remember all those who died, and those who carry physical or invisible wounds as a consequence of their service.

Lest we forget.

I encourage you to watch the 2022 Anzac Day video and share with your friends and family.
