Brent Tate is a retired NRL player who debuted with the Brisbane Broncos in 2001. He played 229 NRL games including 23 for Queensland and 26 for Australia.
In this Cove Clip, Brent Tate discusses his lessons in leadership, culture and resilience. While also highlighting the people in his life who motivated him throughout his career.
In 2003 Brent suffered a career ending neck injury, but through intense rehabilitation and the wearing of a neck-brace was able to get back on the field within 12 months. Throughout his career he also had four knee reconstructions resulting in over 20 surgeries. He talks about his recovery – both mentally and physically – and how he nearly gave it all away but took it as a test of his character to keep going.
