Jennifer Wittwer, CSM, a maritime logistics officer and strategic human resources specialist, retired from full-time service in the Australian Navy in April 2018 after thirty seven years. In recent years, Jennifer developed and implemented women’s leadership, mentoring and networking programs into the Australian Navy, deployed as the first ADF Gender Advisor to NATO operations in Afghanistan, led the ADF’s implementation of the Australian Government’s National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security, and worked as a policy specialist on peacekeeping, security sector reform, and sexual exploitation and abuse, with UN Women in New York.
