Biography
Luke Thompson
CPL PTI

CPL Thompson joined the Army in 2013 as an Artilleryman. He progressed through the ranks to Bombardier and has deployed on Operation Queensland Assist in 2017 and Operation North Queensland Flood Assist in 2019. In 2020 he transferred to RAAMC as a PTI and is currently a PTI at ADFA.

Corporal Thompson’s interests include health and fitness and is a keen AFL supporter who follows the Richmond Tigers. He also likes to frequent in the running scene, where he most recently completed a race known as ‘Coast to Kosciusko’ a 240km foot race that starts in a little town called Eden on the east coast and finishes at the top of Mt Kosciusko. He finished this race in a time of 35h 20min, 52 seconds. Corporal Thompson was also invited to compete at the Australian 24h Track Championships at AIS in Canberra, July 2023, where he went on to finish in 3rd place and lay down a total of 234.433km, giving him an Australian B Standard Qualifier.
