In this speculative fiction piece, written for the Modern War Institute, Jared Wilhelm examines how our own personal data could be used against us in future conflicts. He explores the use of ‘micro attacks’ to sow chaos, doubt and fear within critical personnel by turning everyday technologies against them. The resulting angst would disrupt their (and their unit’s) decision loop at a critical time.
