James Castrission - The Explorer's Mindset
What can the Australian Army learn from a daring polar adventurer?
In 100 years of polar exploration, no one had ever walked form the edge of Antarctica to the South Pole and back without any support. Many had tried. None had succeeded - not until James Castrission and his partner made history by completing the longest unsupported polar journey, ever. They defied the odds, turning an audacious goal into reality through grit and teamwork.
James Castrission, Aussie adventurer and holder of two Guinness World Records, faced the brutality of Mother Nature and pushed the limits of human endurance to achieve two world-first expeditions. He kayaked from Australia to New Zealand, then trekked to the South Pole and back - unsupported, with only his resilience, fortitude and teammate. In 2016, James was named one of Australia's 50 Greatest Explorers of All Time. Drawing on his incredible experiences, James has become an internationally recognised motivational speaker, delivering keynotes addresses to over 980,000 people at over 500 different event, in 40 countries. Inspiring audiences with stories that empower and motivate people to reach their full potential, James will be sharing his unique insights in this very special CoveTalk.
The Explorer's Mindset is an inspiring tale, with practical insights on the power of collaboration and teamwork; the importance of mindset for success; and navigating challenging environments.
This presentation will only be available until 05 Nov.
