The National Defence Strategy provides clear direction for an Army optimised for littoral operations as part of an integrated, focused force. Army’s response is articulated through the Australian Army Contribution to the National Defence Strategy, which places fighting and winning in the littoral at the heart of Army’s contribution to the ADF, and Australia’s Strategy of Denial.
