These badges contain verifiable data, complement traditional certifications and are easily shareable on personal CVs or sites such as LinkedIn. Best of all, there is no cost to any of the subjects.
What can I learn?
- There are 92 units in total, falling under the following five topics:
- The Art and Science of Thinking
- Art and Science of War
- Leadership, Ethics and Society
- Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
- Organisation, People and Projects.
As you can see there’s plenty of variety in topics, so there’s sure to be something to pique your interest. This may be a military-specific subject, such as military strategy, counterintelligence, or security in the Indo-Pacific or a general interest subject such as psychology, critical thinking, politics or robotics. Additionally, several professional development subjects can help you develop skills that are applicable across a wide range of workplaces. For example, presenting in public, managing people, and project management.
How do I complete subjects?
To start learning, log onto ADELE and search for COVE+. Choose the subject you wish to study and select complete learning to launch the unit. The amount of time it takes to complete a unit varies from 10 hours to 40 hours, but you don’t need to complete it all in one go. You can pop back into the unit multiple times, and there is no deadline on when you have to complete it.
To get a badge for the subject, you will either need to complete a quiz or submit a short essay, which is marked by the Queensland University of Technology.
