The presentations represent the speakers' personal views based on their own experiences, and the context relevant to them and their individual role at the time. This presentation on lessons and legacies is delivered by Professor William Maley, AM author of Reconstructing Afghanistan.

Professor William Maley, AM is currently the Professor of Diplomacy, Asia Pacific College of Diplomacy, Australian National University. He taught for many years in the school of politics at the University of New South Wales, Australian Defence Force Academy. He has served as a Visiting Professor at the Russian Diplomatic Academy, a Visiting Fellow at the University of Strathclyde, and a Visiting Research Fellow at Oxford University. He is the author of Reconstructing Afghanistan.
