David Nicholas is currently appointed as Sergeant Major of Command and Tactics Directorate at the Maneuver Center of Excellence, Fort Benning, Georgia, United States. Previous postings include all three Royal Australian Regiment battalions in the 3rd Brigade, and he has instructed at the 1st Recruit Training Battalion and Warrant Officer and Non-Commissioned Officer Academy.
