Warrant Officer Class Two Michael Young is an Infantry Soldier with 24 years of experience. He has served with the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, Defence Force Recruiting: South Australia, 10/27th Battalion, The Royal South Australia Regiment, Australian Defence Force Academy and the School of Infantry. During his time in the Army, Mick has been on operations to East Timor, Timor Leste, Solomon Islands, Sinai, Afghanistan and Fiji.
Dougal Robertson is a Reserve Air Force Intelligence officer and graduate of the 2013 Fighter Intelligence Instructor Course. He has deployed to East Timor, Pakistan and the Middle East and served in tactical unit, headquarters and training commands. He holds an MA in Intelligence from Macquarie University and an MA in International Relations from UNSW and now works as a consultant for Defence industry.
Samuel Gardner is a Corporal in the Royal Australian Infantry Corps and was previously a Section Commander in the 8th/9th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment and 9th Battalion, Royal Queensland Regiment. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Business Management (Major in Information Systems) and Bachelor of Arts (Major in International Relations, Minor in Psychology) at the University of Queensland and is a SERCAT 3 reservist working in an out-of-corps role as a Business Analyst in the Analysis Cell, Adjutant General – Army.
CATC performs a vital function for Army by delivering key outcomes to the Australian Army, supporting both FORGEN and OPGEN through the execution of Directed Training Requirement (DTR) and Exported Training to FORCOMD and the wider ADF. CATC works closely with all other formations in Army, in particular the Combat Brigades, to ensure Army is postured to win the land battle. CATC training establishments include the School of Armour, School of Artillery, School of Infantry and School of Military Engineering.
