The Royal Australian Corps of Signals has a long history of contributing to the integrated force in, from and through the Space Domain. Its history has Army’s people take part in many of the nine Space Mission Sets described in the references below:

Space Domain Concept SELENE (DPN only)
In celebration of these achievements during the Royal Australian Corps of Signals’ centenary, Defence Space Command invites thoughts as to how Signals can continue to contribute to the Australian Defence Force’s space power in the coming years.
Topics to consider may include:
- Workforce. How do the RA Sigs officer and trade workforce models optimally contribute to a dedicated and professional joint space workforce, considering the potential establishment of the joint Space Officer and Space Operator employment categories in 2026?
- Resilient space capability architecture. How can RA Sigs feasibly contribute to increasing the resilience of the ADF’s space architecture? What should be prioritised?
- Space as an Operational Domain. To what extent can RA Sigs contribute to operations in Space as a domain in its own right, in addition to generating enabling effects for the rest of the integrated force in other domains?
- Training. What additional officer and soldier training does RA Sigs need to build, buy or borrow in order to generate and prepare ADF Space forces for operations?
- Innovation to identify asymmetric options. ‘What novel or innovative ideas do you have that could be a game changer to your current role or Unit capability?’
