Lieutenant Colonel Alistair Pope graduated from OTU Scheyville in 1967 as a Second Lieutenant and served in Vietnam, Indonesia and PNG, and as a sub-unit Commander in 3rd Brigade in Townsville. He retired in 1986 and founded his own business, working internationally as a Project Manager until his retirement in 2016.
Lieutenant Colonel Leigh Crawford is a graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy and Royal Military College Duntroon and was commissioned into the Royal Australian Artillery in 1996. Lieutenant Colonel Crawford’s recent appointment as the lead military planner for the Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Europe and Latin America regions has also involved significant operational service with the United Nations in Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Cyprus, Tunisia, Libya, Mali and Kashmir.
Jonathan is a Reserve Officer working on Investigations for Landworthiness. Having spent most of his career around helicopters and transport aircraft he is now an airline pilot in his spare time. His particular interest is preventing vehicle rollovers just in case we need them and their occupants to go on operations one day.
