7 RAR on Deployment: Part Five - Warrant Officer Dean Close

This short series of podcast features members from the 7th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment in which individuals highlight lessons learnt during the Battalion's 'ready' year and their deployment in the Middle East region. In this final podcast we meet Warrant Officer Dean Close who deployed to Iraq from May to December 2016 as the Operations Warrant Officer and then as a member of the Training Team as part of Operation OKRA.

About the producer: Sharon Mascall-Dare is an Army Reserve Public Affairs Officer posted to Headquarters 9th Brigade in South Australia. In her civilian life she is an award winning British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) radio broadcaster and Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Communication at the University of South Australia.
