Across Army, there is a wide range of trades, specialties and career pathways, and for many it can be a long time between opportunities to practise and enhance our tactical skills. For those not actively involved in combat roles, often the only opportunity to intensively practise all-corps tactical skills are career courses, and it can often be around five years between those courses. Understandably, there is a lot of skill fade that can occur if you don't practise these skills or create chances to refresh your knowledge.

The CSS BOS is divided into six functions: transport support, supply support, maintenance support, health support, personnel support and engineer sustainability support. The art of logistics is to develop a simple, flexible plan which is able to be adjusted to support manoeuvre warfare. It is a combat multiplier if done correctly, and a burden if done poorly. The information contained in this video will enhance your understanding of how CSS can be utilised in the planning and conduct of operations to determine what is logistically feasible.
