Tactical and Technical
Mobility & Survivability BOSBy The Cove July 30, 2017
Across Army, there is a wide range of trades, specialties and career pathways, and for many it can be a long time between opportunities to practice and enhance our tactical skills. For those not actively involved in combat roles, often the only opportunity to intensively practice all-corps tactical skills are career courses, and it can often be around five years between those courses. Understandably, there is a lot of skill fade that can occur if you don't practice these skills or create chances to refresh your knowledge.
This video, produced by the Army Learning Production Centre (ALPC), provides a comprehensive explanation of the Mobility & Survivability Battlespace Operating System (MS BOS). It explores the following:
- Definitions related to the MS BOS
- MS BOS capabilities
- Key MS BOS planning considerations
- The concepts of counter-mobility and survivability
The key MS BOS functions are mobility, counter-mobility and survivability. The information contained in this video will enhance your understanding of how to integrate the MS BOS into the planning and conduct of operations.
Watch the video to refresh your knowledge on the MS BOS in order to assist you with your next TEWT, and take a look at our other videos in this series to examine each of the individual BOS' in more detail.
