The 16th Aviation Brigade (16 Avn Bde) is an aviation brigade of the Australian Army. The 16th Aviation Brigade currently commands most of the Australian Army's aviation units.
Formed on 2 April 2002 from the amalgamation of the Aviation Support Group and the 1st Division's Aviation unit, it is headquartered in Enoggera, Queensland with units based throughout Australia.
Lieutenant Wood was born in Redcliffe, Queensland and completed secondary schooling North of Brisbane in 2010 before undertaking a Bachelor of Design at Queensland University of Technology. In January 2014 Lieutenant Wood commenced training at the Australian Defence Force Academy before attending the Royal Military College – Duntroon, graduating to the Corps of Royal Australian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers in 2018.
