Dr Richard Fletcher is a Senior Research Fellow at University College London (Qatar). After more than 20 years living and studying in China and the Near East (most recently in the Persian Gulf) he has returned to Australia. His specialities include cultural and physical anthropology, geospatial applications, remote sensing, and the use of historical intelligence sources.
Mike is a 30-year member of the ADF. In 2023 he is Director General Reserves at AHQ. Concurrently he is a consultant where he supports and enables Defence and industry performance. He assisted the last whitepaper as a member of the minister’s 6-person expert panel. Mike has worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Defence and industry revitalising our approach to sovereignty, supported state government’s defence industry strategy, and aided business and universities to build Defence-relevant capabilities.
John is a Lieutenant Colonel in the part-time ADF. He is currently part of the Directing Staff at the Australian War College supporting the ACSC(R). He is also employed as an executive in Hobart by energy utility TasNetworks where he currently works as the Leader Performance. This role includes functional responsibilities for the enterprise’s innovation strategy and framework, Digital Strategy, business and continuous improvement, transformation, change and portfolio governance.
David Guthrie is an infantry officer with 25 years’ experience. David has been employed in a range of domestic and deployed environments, training, operations and plans staff roles. He is currently the SO2 Professional Military Education Development at Headquarters Forces Command.
