Major Thomas BASAN enlisted in January 1980. As a soldier and NCO, MAJ BASAN served in 2/4 RAR and SASR. On commissioning, MAJ BASAN commanded paratroopers in 3 RAR at platoon, specialist platoon and company. MAJ BASAN is a graduate of ACSC and ATSOC and has a master’s in systems engineering. In later years, MAJ BASAN served in Future Land Warfare, AHQ; Land Development Branch and the Australian Defence Test and Evaluation Organisation, CDG; Brigade Major, 13 Brigade and Preparedness, AHQ. He is currently employed within Land Capability Development, AHQ.

Deb Herring has a keen interest in Organisational Psychology including workplace leadership, effective teamwork and ‘soft skills’ training, however is currently employed as a Logistician in the Australian Army. 

Major West joined the Army in 1992 as an Electronic Technician in  RASIGS and later attended RMC graduating in 1998 and corps transferring to RAEME. He completed a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Computer Science at ADFA in 2005. His postings include 1st Signal Regiment, South Queensland Logistic Group, Maintenance Advisor Service and 7^th Signal regiment. He's had operational service in East Timor and Afghanistan.

Joanne Cassady is a self-taught artist and is a mother of five sons and one daughter, as well as a doting grandmother.

Joanne comes from the Wiradjuri nation located central west NSW & is also a descendant of the Yorta Yorta Nation, Victoria. Joanne’s Wiradjuri totem is the goanna, which leaves inspiration for her to recreate throughout her artwork. Joanne began painting at 20 years of age, being introduced to acrylics by her cousin Leeanne Hunter.
